What is Huel?
To put it simply, Huel is food. Not just that, it’s nutritionally complete food. This means each meal of Huel contains a balance of nutrients like carbohydrates, essential fats, protein, fibre, plus 26 essential vitamins and minerals and loads more!
All Huel products are vegan, GMO-free, lactose-free and gluten-free (our standard Powder isn’t gluten-free but we do offer a gluten-free version)!
Which Huel should I choose?
Huel comes in various different formats.
- Powder and Black Edition (low-carb, high-protein) are our powdered meals made with fine oats, peas, rice, coconut, flaxseed, and sunflower seeds.
- Our new Instant Meals are a tasty meal made with real whole ingredients like rice, quinoa and vegetables.
- Bars are exactly what they sound like - a practical and nutritious snack to have on the go.
- Ready-to-drink is a smooth and delicious meal in a bottle.
How do I prepare a Huel meal?
Couldn’t be easier!
- Powder and Black Edition: add 500ml water to the free shaker, add 2 scoops, shake. Find out more
- Instant Meals: add 2 scoops to the free pot, add 210ml boiling water, cover and wait 5 minutes. Find out more
Bars and Ready-to-drink need no preparation. Just take them with you and have them on the go!
Can Huel help me with my weight?
We get this a lot. While Huel is not a diet product, it can help you lose, gain, or maintain weight. Huel helps you count the calories you consume every day. Eat less calories than you burn and you’ll lose weight, eat more and you’ll gain weight.

Well, that’s kinda up to you :) Once you’ve picked the perfect Huel for you, the possibilities are endless!
Get used to it, then make it a habit
Whatever you do, make sure to gradually build up your Huel intake. Your body needs time to adjust to change in your diet, so start with 1 Huel meal a day, and add 1 more every 3-5 days until you reach your ideal balance.
Once you're there make it part of your routine. You don't have to have Huel 100% of the time, most Hueligans have it for breakfast and/or lunch during the week.
